What services do you offer?
I am an Ordained Minister with Universal Life Church and recognized by the State of Alaska. I have officiated and coordinated weddings and I am also a photographer.
Can you officiate and photograph our special day?
For smaller or civil ceremonies, I am able to perform the ceremony and then offer a complimentary photo session for the couple afterwards. For larger weddings, I am able to only be an officiant or photographer, but not both.
How long have you been doing this?
I've been taking pictures with a camera for about 8 years, but only in the last 3 years have I started actually learning and practicing photography with the goal of becoming a local professional photographer. I've also been ordained for 6 months and just finished my first wedding in June 2024. I've since ordained 6 ceremonies, large and small.
Can you help us with planning?
I can assist you with planning your photo session and would love to incorporate your ideas into my photography style. If I feel that I can not accommodate you, I'll refer you to a photographer that is more specialized to your vision.
As an officiant, I can use your story to write a beautifully unique ceremony script. After the ceremony, the script is your gift from me.
Do you Travel?
I have the ability to travel to most places in Alaska that a highway will take you. I'm based in Anchorage but will meet you in Fairbanks or on the Kenai Peninsula and everywhere in between.
How many photos do we get?
The number of photos depends on the package, the length of time of the photo shoot, and any client requests. Mini sessions are generally 5-15 finished digital photos, while larger events such as weddings will be closer to 100-500 finished digital photos.
How do we get our photos?
I have several methods for delivering photos. If it is a mini session with only 5 or 10 photos, I can email those to the client. If there is a larger amount of photos, but not more than 50, I will create a gallery for the client to download from here on my website and if there are more than 50 photos from larger events, I will deliver them to the client on a thumb drive.
Do you retouch photos?
Retouching depends on several factors. If the client requests certain retouching, if the photo can be enhanced or dramatized for visual appeal and depending on the type of session. Wedding photos usually have softer editing done to ??????
Whats your turn around time?
My turn around time is dependent on several variables, including the number of photos and the amount of editing work that needs to be done. I strive for having client's photos ready fourteen (14) days from the date of their photography session. I will always stay in contact with the client regarding any changes or delays in processing their photos.
How do we book you?
There are several options: you can submit an inquiry through this website or email me directly at aurorapromises@gmail.com. I pride myself in responding within 24-48 hours.
How far out do you book?
I will book as far out as you want to plan your session. This gives the client the opportunity to choose locations based on seasonal weather and ideal shooting conditions.
What should we do for an engagement session?
Engagement sessions are a specialized version of a couple's session. Plan on possible different locations for unique backgrounds and don't forget to bring the ring!
What should we wear?
You should wear clothing that fits in with the story you want to tell through your photos and the location you choose as your backdrop. We can discuss all the details when planning your photo shoot.
What is your pricing?
Pricing is dependent on the type of session, the length of the session, the number of locations that you would like to include and the estimated time it will take to edit and finalize your digital prints. I will post a tentative pricing schedule on this site very soon.
